In a time of social distancing, many of us have never felt closer to one another.

Lockdown conditions have caused a rise in community spirit as people rally to help their neighbours who have to self-isolate.

Volunteers from Newcastle Central Mosque have launched a COVID-19 support group, to help those most in need.

They're delivering essential supplies such as food and medication to at-risk people who are self-isolating.

The emergency parcels are delivered for free and are funded by the One Ummah charity.
